* I was compiling and installing the latest ImageMagick, and I noticed * that patch patch-ad patches the configure.in file. In order for these * changes to be carried over to configure, autoconf has to be run. I have * autoconf on my system, but it wasn't run in the default 'make all * install'. Consequently tiff support never worked. I manually fixed * this, but it leads me to wonder how many other ports this affects. Am I * doing something wrong, or is this just an oversight? Thanks. Hmm. The port Makefile is supposed to define USE_AUTOCONF. If that fixes it, it is most definitely an oversight. Send mail to jseger@freebsd.org and he'll fix it faster than you can say "you goofed!".
