>Description:
I've got a FSC Lifebook E8010, with i855GM integrated graphics and a SXGA+ display (1400x1050) both the ports supposed to fix the "1400x1050-insn't-in-the-VBIOS"-problem don't work for me.
The former doesn't seem to "get" the resolutions while the later doesn't seem to be able to write them back
>How-To-Repeat:
run mentioned ports
>Fix:
The i855resolution-utility from this site:
http://www.sigusr1.org/weblog/exit.php?url_id=183&entry_id=176
works for me and let's me display 1400x1050.
It would be nice to include this utility in 6.0 Release.
It needs gmake to compile, as it seems.
