Hi !

What would you think about introducing three new variables
into the ports mechanism ?! HOMEPAGE, AUTHOR and 
MAILINGLIST ?!

Background:

Quite often I'd like to have a comfortable way to go to the
homepage of a software product to look for new informations
and releases of the software.

Additionally I'd like to have sometimes an easy way, to lookup
the e-mail Adresss of the author of a software package to
ask him questions or to send him patches.

Sometimes it would be an extra bonus to have the possibility
to send a question to the mailinglist for this port.

Other advantages:

Once we'd had these three variables, they could be used to
add some more user friendlyness to our WWW pages in the
ports area.

What do you think about this ? Like to hear from you ...
