 How about  "one thing at a  time"? If your  Qt upgrade was in  the ports
 tree, I would not have wasted my  time on it, and may have looked around
 to  fix the  kde  things (failure  to detect  mmap,  use of  ``XBINDIR''
 instead of the actual ``/usr/X11R6/bin'', etc.).
 
 =Qt 1.42 -> 1.45 hasn't changed _that_ much...
 
 Yeap -- bug fixes, memory leaks, minor GUI-interface changes.
