If you want even faster results, you can *mirror* the svn repository
with svnsync :)
Then the diff options are exactly the same, but for the repo-url you can
use `file:///local/path/to/mirror', i.e.:
svn log -r '{1995-01-01}:{1996-01-01}' file:///svnroot/base/head/sys/ufs
