The Handbook (www.freebsd.org/handbook) has lots of coverage on networking, including special sections on gateways and routes. The man pages for natd will help you to do what Linux folks call masquerading. One of the best tutorial sites available with lots of examples is www.freebsddiary.com. When you get snagged, search the mailing list archives to see if somone else has had the same problem. If you're an IRC type, you may find help in #freebsdhelp on Efnet. (I would, however, not encourage #freebsd as it is overrun by children with egos.)
