You only have to use the mediaopt option, if you want to force full-duplex. But you donīt have to worry about it, because youīre running already in half-duplex mode, as your ifconfig states: >rl0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 > inet 192.168.0.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255 > ether 00:48:54:88:62:bd > media: 10baseT/UTP status: active > supported media: autoselect 100baseTX <full-duplex> 100baseTX 10baseT/UTP > <full-duplex> 10baseT/UTP 100baseTX <hw-loopback> The media: line tells you "10baseT/UTP", that is half-duplex. It would read "10baseT/UTP <full-duplex>" if your Realtek card were in full-duplex mode. So whatever your problem is, itīs not the missing half-duplex mode.
