Ahem, now this is really nice as flame-bait.

Serious though, I switched to FreeBSD only lately too.  And the reason
was neither hotmail, nor yahoo for that matter.  It was the fact that I
wanted to see what would come out of it.  And in a few words: "I came, I
saw, I stayed."  For various reasons, cvsup and /usr/ports being the
most prominent among them.
