Having replaced the faulty memory > I'm now left > with a major problem - FreeBSD won't install. Well, having decided to just move my working 5.2-CURRENT disk over, it works. Booted without problems, the wrapper for nvnet did it's magic and everything is working just fine. If anybody ever gets a chance to look into it (I would, but I know I don't know enough - yet) I'm happy to test stuff. -- Rob | Oh my God! They killed init! You bastards! _______________________________________________ freebsd-current@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-current To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-current-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" [EC] Is there a way to install FreeBSD on an Nforce2 based system without extra network cards? I see that nvnet is a port, is this port included in the standard 5.2.1- disk? I believe that it would be difficult to install FreeBSD 5.2.1 without the extra-nic or a modem as long the driver is available network connectivity. Best regards, Emil Cazamir
