Extra options can be found in startup script. Your hostname must be resolvable using at least 1 mechanism in /etc/nsswitch.conf typically DNS or /etc/hosts or apache might have issues starting depending on the modules you are using. ######################################################### Simple config: LoadModule perl_module libexec/apache22/mod_perl.so #PerlModule Apache::compat # your config comes here For a more detailed version (including more options) refer to: docs/user/intro/start_fast.pod or online: http://perl.apache.org/docs/2.0/user/intro/start_fast.html ######################################################### Since FreeBSD has new USB stack, freeglut normally doesn't build on FreeBSD 8 (yet). To workaround this a small patch adds one include file and comments out content of one function (only leaves return NULL). This might cause side effects. Joysticks do not work, and there might be ports that do not compile or applications that crash because of this. Do not hesitate to contact x11@FreeBSD.org if there are any issues and side effects because of this. ############################################################################### A T T E N T I O N In order to use gpg-agent, you need to install a pinentry dialog. The following ports of pinentry dialogs are available: security/pinentry-curses (ncurses based dialog) security/pinentry-gtk (GTK 1.2 based dialog) security/pinentry-gtk2 (GTK 2.x based dialog) security/pinentry-qt (QT3 based dialog) security/pinentry-q4 (QT4 based dialog) ############################################################################### Note: Install devel/p5-MRO-Compat for increased performance. ===================================================================== To initialize RT's database: $ sudo perl rt-setup-database --action init --dba dba --dba-password X To clear a previously created RT database: $ sudo perl rt-setup-database --action drop --dba dba --dba-password X To complete the installation of this port, please follow these steps: 1. Edit /usr/local/etc/rt42/RT_SiteConfig.pm, by referring to the default config file (/usr/local/etc/rt42/RT_Config.pm). 2. Configure the email and web gateways. Please refer to 'SETTING UP THE MAIL GATEWAY' in /usr/local/share/doc/rt42/README 3. Restart Apache or whichever web delivery mechanism you selected.. 4. Do remember to *CHANGE* the root's password for the web interface. The default is "password" (without the quotes.) 5. Configure RT per the instructions at http://www.bestpractical.com/rt/docs.html RT does not work with perl taint mode (-T) you must disable it. Note, some other ports like devel/bugzilla have you add this to your httpd.conf. This isn't actually a flaw of RT, but of a subset of the CPAN modules that RT uses. If you're upgrading RT then it is worth reading the UPGRADING document at this point. Some extension you're using may have been integrated into core. It's recommended to use new clean directory when you're upgrading to new release (for example from 4.0.x to 4.2.x). To upgrade your database schema, preserving ticket history: 1. Backup your RT database. 2. If upgrading to a new major release, create a new database named rt4 with appropriate rights for the rt_user and reload your database backup into it. 3. Run: # /usr/local/sbin/rt-setup-database \ --datadir /usr/local/share/doc/rt42/upgrade \ --action upgrade --prompt-for-dba-password and answer the prompts. ===================================================================== ===> Returning to build of p5-RT-Extension-SLA-0.07_2 ===> p5-RT-Extension-SLA-0.07_2 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/perl5.16.3 - found =========================================================================== =================================================== =========================================================================== =================================================== ===> Configuring for p5-RT-Extension-SLA-0.07_2 Cannot find the location of RT.pm that defines $RT::LocalPath in: inc /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.16 /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.16/BSDPAN /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.16/mach /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.16 /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.16/mach /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.16 . /opt/rt4/lib /opt/lib/rt4 /opt/rt3/lib /opt/lib/rt3 /opt/lib /usr/local/rt4/lib /usr/local/lib/rt4 /usr/local/rt3/lib /usr/local/lib/rt3 /usr/local/lib /home/rt4/lib /home/lib/rt4 /home/rt3/lib /home/lib/rt3 /home/lib /usr/rt4/lib /usr/lib/rt4 /usr/rt3/lib /usr/lib/rt3 /usr/lib /sw/rt4/lib /sw/lib/rt4 /sw/rt3/lib /sw/lib/rt3 /sw/lib Path to directory containing your RT.pm: Can't open Makefile: No such file or directory. =========================================================================== =================================================== ===> Building for p5-RT-Extension-SLA-0.07_2 make[1]: cannot open Makefile. make[1]: stopped in /wrkdirs/usr/ports/www/p5-RT-Extension-SLA/work/RT-Extension-SLA-0.07 *** Error code 1 Stop. make: stopped in /usr/ports/www/p5-RT-Extension-SLA ===> Cleaning for p5-RT-Extension-SLA-0.07_2
