Thought I would post this information to the list in case anyone else had a similar problem. Following a suggestion I found on a web page under a google search, I created the following symlink: /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so -> /usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10 I am not sure where in the source code I need to edit to give it the correct path for FreeBSD, but this DID solve the problem.
