When I changed my ip number the machine = crawls=20 through a reboot (it seems like it gets stuck on sendmail).  I = edited the=20 following files
 
rc.conf (only sendmail & sshd is=20 enableded)
resolv.conf
hosts
host.conf (to make sure it uses hosts=20 first)
