It doesn't. :) I was discussing the matter with hin in private. The NetBSD ethers(5) BUGS section says: "A name server should be used instead of a static file." Well, "name server" is not necessarily DNS. In fact, could we consider that NIS is a kind of name server for this purpose ? If so, shouldn't this commit be backed out ?
