errno 70 is ESTALE, which is an NFS error indicating that the file was dele=

on the NFS server.
If you are using an NFS mount, I'd suggest trying it on a local disk.
(NFS isn't a POSIX compliant file system and never will be, given the proto=
col
 specification. You can usually get away with builds on NFS, but...)

If you aren't using a NFS mount, then I have no idea why an ESTALE would ha=
ppen?
