hello,
      I had a problem after installed samba. I could see my samba server
in windows 2000 machine, but when i double click it, system gives the
error says:   \\Lab13 is not accessible.
                       The account is not authorized to log in from this station.
 
which Lab13 is the samba server name.
and when i at command line typed: "start \\192.168.0.13"
which is the IP of the samba server, it does work.
but "start \\lab13" does not work.
i thought it quite strange, would you give any help?
