Have you tried 'options PNPBIOS'?

pci0: <PCI bus> on pcib0

It works fine here, except the CD line-in appears as the "synth" mixer
control. :-)

This is on a Tecra 8000, but the chipset appears to be the same.  You can
set the port values in the bios, but the pnp detection doesn't find them
as it's only in the pnpbios lists.
