I am using FreeBSD 2.2.7 and apache_fp-1.2.6 I've managed to get the virtual hosts working fine, but I am experircing problems setting up sub-web user. I am using the following command to create a sub-web user in the format of: http://cww.orangenet.co.uk/username I don't realy want to use ~username fpsrvadm.exe -o install -p 80 -w username -u username -pw ascii_passwd -s /usr/local/etc/apache/httpd.conf Where username is the name of the frontpage sub-web,as above. Also username is the name of the users home directory where the page are stored. ascii_passwd the password for username. The permissions on root web are : user www and group www the permissions on the sub-webs are: user www and group username The root web is in the direcotry: /web/homeuser The sub-web is the the directory: /web/homeuser/username When I use this script the user gets created and I can login to thier directory using Front Page 98 program. But when I try to upload the new pages or amendments to server I get the following error: This operation requires administrator permissions for root web. Is there a way in which I can create the sub-web so that it has administrator permissions to upload. thanks \\\/// / _ _ \ (| (.)(.) |) -----------------.OOOo--()--oOOO.------------------------------------------- --------------------- Imran Aslam -- OrangeNET Ltd Web Site: www.orangenet.co.uk Systems Administrator 4 Park Royal Metro Centre Voice : +44 181 9306270 Ext 207 Britannia Way, Park Royal Fax : +44 181 4531822 London, NW10 7PA E-mail : mailto:imran@orangenet.co.uk ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------------------.oooO------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- ( ) Oooo. \ ( ( ) \_) ) / ( _ / To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
