I have just purchased the FreeBSD POWERPACK. It came with the FreeBSD 4.1 OS and the FreeBSD -Coplete Guide I installed it on a dos partion (bsd slice) that i reserved for it with FIPS. I installed a boot manages because i also run Microsoft on my machine. The boot manager Displays 3 options for me which are fammiliar to you: F1 DOS F2 FREEBSD F5 Disk 1 (aka dos/ms-s) When i select "F2" my system makes "beeping sounds" i think that means it is haulted, but... when i select other options they work very well and my Microsoft os is booted fine. Please help me out, this is very unusual. ------------------------------------------------------------ Free, BeOS-friendly email accounts: http://BeMail.org/ Free Daily Reading: http://bedope.com/icontarot/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
