It was created, by mistake,  by an earlier version of the Makefile
in the cdrecord port.

That's interesting. I have also heard that cdrecord doesn't use
the worm device. However, I have always had the worm device in the
kernel (and the CDR100 gets properly detected by it) and it worked...
But know I can throw out the worm entry and will configure it
like you did.
