From the XFree86 3.3.3.1 (it's what's available at the moment) README:

If you had RTFMed the Docs, you would have known...

When you run xf86config or XF86Setup, after you select your card, it tells
you what settings to use. If it doesn't and you still don't know, select
'Normal' or 'None' or the most generic possible.
