https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D217679 Bug ID: 217679 Summary: databases/py-carbon: This port does not support relaying! Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: swills@FreeBSD.org Reporter: ohartmann@walstatt.org Assignee: swills@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(swills@FreeBSD.org) Setting up a larger, clustered environment, Graphite/Carbon provides relayi= ng of metrics/data. Relaying is a important feature of Graphite/Carbon. This port only supports a local cache, driven by carbon-cache.py. Any attem= pt to start a relaying instance with the provided port and documentation ended= up in a local cache. The rc script doesn't respect the difference between cache only and relaying and there is no note on this restriction which makes the Graphite/Carbon project a toy or even worse, unusable for needs where carbon needs to be clustered (which is in our case). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
