Deleting something that *doesn't* work and has no maintainer makes sense. Deleting something that *DOES* work (like voxware or pcvt) is simply foolish. I'm a vocal advocate of deleting and/or port'ifying some of the cruft in our tree, but deleting something that works without providing a suitable substitute gains you nothing and pisses off your customers.
