Correct. It looks deceptively easy, but the scripts are _horribly_
intertwined, and I dont want to mess with that at this stage. I have
little enough time as it is.

I think this is the way to go. CPAN has one problem - it cannot uninstall
a module (AFAIK). Do you really want to do this for 3.0/2.2.8? :-)
