Oops - I latched on to the wrong parts of the manpage when I was reading and sent my first message. Thanks for pointing this out. However: How useful is the caching of users and groups? I still believe that for caching DNS, BIND or another DNS server running locally or on the same LAN is the common practice. -- Sean M. Collins
