Hi there. I have a FreeBSD-4.0 Stable system. Recently, I have not been able to compile anything because "ar" always causes a signal 11 and dies. I know that signal 11's usually indicate a memory problem, but this is a machine that has a zillion other things running on it that never signal 11. Is there anything else that can be causing these errors that is specific to "ar"? This is, as you can imagine, quite a pain because I can't install any ports or upgrade Apache. Thanks in advance!
