The shorter the distance to cover, the faster the transfer is likely to be, and the lower the cost. If there are people in India who want to download FreeBSD, then an Indian mirror is a very good idea, _especially_ if bandwidth is expensive. Additionally, a mirror site in India could burn CDs locally and hand them out, subject to licensing restrictions. -- Anthony
