I bought a postscript cartrige for it but about a year ago some one suggested for various reasons that I no-longer remember it might be better to use ghostscript and send PCL to the printer. I did this and it works great, the output is just as good as the Postscript cartridge ever was, maybe better. If ghostscript supports the LBP860 I would suggest you try it. If you need it I can send a copy of my lpd if file that detects postscript and runs ghostscript.
