I remember sitting on the can reading BSD mags in the 80s when they were saying the same thing regarding OSF. There there were/are other Linuxes, BSDs, and Unixes. I've done a bunch of infrastructure and tasked-support work using Linux for the past couple of years. The FreeBSD pieces work better. Does Linux have some advantages? Yes. Does FreeBSD have some deficiencies? Yes. There, I said it. I'm over it now.
