Hi, I am trying to install FreeBSD on my IBM Aptiva 2159. I downloaded the 4.31 image and burned a CD. The CD did not boot in this computer so I created the installation floppies, kern and mfsroot. Additionally, I performed the MS-DOS prep... C:\> md c:\FreeBSD C:\> xcopy e:\bin c:\FreeBSD\bin\ /s C:\> xcopy e:\manpages c:\FreeBSD\manpages\ /s I am able to boot from the kern/mfsroot floppies and configure the kernal. Once I configure the kernal, select 'Q' and 'Y' a list of information is presented and the installation stops w/o a prompt? I think this is b/c it cannot find the CD? In handbook section 2.2.1.2 Before Installing from CDROM, there is a reference to a install.bat and view.exe. I cannot find either of these on the CD or the internet? Where do I obtain the install.bat and view.exe file, so that I can put them on my MS-DOS boot floppy and continue the installation? Thanks.
