>Description:
I'm using mail/assp as SMTP spam filter (ClamAV is placed on another server), real mail-server is placed on another machine (FreeBSD 6.3 is used).

The problem is in that the assp periodically hangs up the loaded (about 100 000 - 120 000 connections per day) system.
So, that both ssh connections and console login (and just switching on another virtual console) are impossible.
Only RESET could swich server from this state.
>How-To-Repeat:
Usually (but not the only way of reproduction of this problem):

Updating of configuration should be done quickly and assp should be immediately restarted.
If not (configuration was updated, bus assp wasn't restarted) in about 1-2 hours the system first stops receiving smtp-connections and after that (in about 20-30 minutes) entirely hangs up.
