Do other versions of screen work? My old version of screen-3.5.2 (August 1993 distribution) compiled on 11 Jan 1995 still works under FreeBSD-current. Screen is configured to use fifos instead of sockets (this required fixing many configuration bugs). FreeBSD-current has one fix for revoking of ttys that might be relevant. Bruce
