Hi, I'm lost. Some time ago I added a serial and parallel port card, rebuilt the kernel, hooked up the parallel port to a second printer and ran fine. The probe reports the serial ports, too. I have read everything and tried it all but the /dev/cuaa2 and 3 are dead as well as /dev/ttyd2 and 3. Modems switched, cords switched, entries in /etc/ttys for cuaa1 do not work with cuaa2. Using mgetty on cuaa1, I can log in but not on cuaa2. What other files than /etc/ttys, /etc/remote, et al do I need to worry about. I have been through the docs and archives. Are _both_ serial ports dead? John To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
