I notice: - x11/tix needs tk41 - x11/tk41 needs tcl7.5 - tcl 7.5 is not in 2.2.2 ports collection or current ports (at least not in my copy here of ~2 weeks ago), just tcl7.4 & 7.6. - ( x11/tk42 needs tcl7.6 ) The customer package I'm working on was previously ported to (A) a Linux combo of tcl-7.6 tk-42 & tix-4.1.7.6 (B) an HP combo of tcl-7.5 tk-4.1 & tix-4.1.7.5 So I guess (preferably) A, or (less preferably) B would be good for my FreeBSD target system. I've installed tcl7.6 & tk42, so will need to find & port tix-4.1.7.6. Anyone who's been this route before me is most welcome to throw code or URLs or advice at me ... Thanks ! :-) PS I'm trying to use on FreeBSD the same version numbers as on customers's other platforms, to avoid complications. At customer site we dont intend to go to 8.* till end of year.
