It looks like there are some bugs in the use of PORTCOMMENT in
bsd.port.mk (probably lack of appropriate quoting), which is causing
problems with special characters in comment strings (+, ', etc).
There is also a patch submitted to change the PORTCOMMENT variable to
COMMENT.

Either way, we'll be changing this a bit, so for now, please don't do
any more conversions.
