In my kernel I am using device pcm and dmesg has the following line pcm0: port 0xcc40-0xcc7f,0xc800-0xc8ff irq 11 at device 31.5 on pci0. I can listen to cd fine but the when I try playing real audio or mp3 files, the resulting sound is at a very high and wrong pitch. Did I configure the sound card incorrectly? Many thanks in advance.
