When performing "ar -tv libc.a" in /usr/lib on FreeBSD 2.0, I noticed 
that some of the module names have been truncated, as the attachment 
shows.  I had not rebuilt this library; it came this way with the binary 
distribution.  Upon attempting to rebuild the library, I end up with the 
same result.

Any ideas?
