From the boot blocks (press spacebar when the first "/-\" symbol appers), and then at the "Boot: " prompt, type /sys/compile/YOUR_KERNEL/kernel If not, you could boot off from the boot floppies, mount your hard drive root filesystem, and copy GENERIC kernel from the boot floppy.
