I myself attempted the update a few weeks ago, and got bogged down. I got it to build successfully. However, when I ran the program netgen, I received an error message result = couldn't read file "./ng.tcl": no such file or directory Make sure to set environment variable NETGENDIR to directory containing ng.tcl Doesn't it make sense to make sure that NETGENDIR defaults to /usr/local/bin?
