OK, here's a slightly better report form me.

The 950322-SNAP machine is running a bt946C, and the -current (as of 30
March) machine is running an Adaptec 1742 (or 1740 - I forget.  It's an
EISA machine.)

The DAT drive is the Connor 4236 (?) DDS II, which identifies itself at
startup as:

on one machine, and:
