Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG X-To-Unsubscribe: mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org "unsubscribe questions" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Someone once told me that there is a program that can mount any type of filesystem that the Linux kernel can mount, under FreeBSD. The idea being, that, you could mount a "vfat" partition (that Linux supports, but FreeBSD does not) and thus get Win95 long filenames. Or a "smbfs" filesystem (again, which Linux supports, but FreeBSD does not) and access a Samba filesystem directly from the filesystem. I think it was called vMount, or something like that, but I am not sure. Anyway, I can't, for the life of me, remember what it's called, or where to get it. (yes, I've already checked the latest ports/packages, and the incoming directory on ftp.freebsd.org). Can anyone help me out here with my (obviously faulty) "human RAM"? :) Thanks... - --- Donald Burr - Ask me for my PGP key | PGP: Your WWW HomePage: http://DonaldBurr.base.org/ ICQ #1347455 | right to Address: P.O.
