games/ioquake3 is a good test probably.

More and more software uses OpenGL, and without DRM it gets emulated
slowly in software. Having it should speed up any 3d app, as well as
many desktop environments that now expect 3d acceleration (kde, gnome,
compiz). Essentially we're talking about modern games and eyecandy.
There might be a boost to multimedia apps that use OpenGL to draw video,
I think VLC can do this.
