My system: FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE-p3 KDE 3.5.10 Mother Board: ASUS P4P800 CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60GHz (2605.92-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin = "GenuineIntel" Id = 0xf29 Stepping = 9 Features=0xbfebfbff Features2=0x4400 Logical CPUs per core: 2 In BIOS I have Hyper-Threading enabled. Everything work good but not all the time. If I compile something and than start KDE it looks okay but everything is slower, specially KMail. It happened also when I left computer on and next day KDE is slower. If I disab;e HT in bios than is oaky but performance of the system is not as good as with HT on. I use FreeBSD more than year now. I started with 7.0 beta, than 7.0 and I never had the same problem. On 7.0 I had kernel compiled with ULE and it works without any problem. Thanks...
