My dictionary distinguishes between daemon and demon though
they clearly have similar etymology. All the evil impilications are attac=
hed
to demon -- not to daemon. In my mind a daemon (a subordinate deity)=20
fits in the same general group as Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny and=20
the Tooth Fairy.
