The machine has 1GB of RAM : > swapinfo -h Device 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity /dev/da0s1b 2097152 56K 2.0G 0% > dmesg is giving me the following memory info : real memory = 1073676288 (1023 MB) avail memory = 1028702208 (981 MB) The machine stops when it's very heavily used (e.g. many client hosts are sending data via rsync to this hosts). I/O is pretty heavy and running on a 3Ware 9550SX-12 on 10 500GB Seagate 7200.9 disks. The RAID controller verified the disks and thei're all correct. No ECC or S.M.A.R.T. errors, so i guess it isn't cabling or anything. Regards, Remco Bressers Signet B.V.
