That line is already in /etc/hosts, both with and without a trailing
period.  I still get the ~3 messages about a minute apart during boot.

The first 4 lines of /etc/hosts look like:

::1                    localhost
127.0.0.1              localhost
192.168.200.61         foo 
192.168.200.61         foo.
