The TCP/IP implementation in FreeBSD is derived from the 4.4BSD-Lite
and 4.4BSD-Lite2 implementations. See

ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/src/share/misc/bsd-family=
-tree

for more information on the precise relationships.
