Hi all,
When working or installing FreeBSD-4.6-RELEASE I've got a
big problem... The problem is that, that I am almost unable
to access files on CD-ROM! When I am trying to copy files
from mounted CD, I am getting many errors from the kernel...
I found a solution for this problem, I just turning HDD to
work in PIO mode (like CD-ROM does)... but when I am installing
FreeBSD, it is unable to get packages from disk... all goes
fine untill I getting in "Commit" menu item! I think the problem
is in my Hard Disk... My disk is: Seagate Medalist 4.3 GB
May be it is not supported by FreeBSD? In Linux all works just
fine, but I don't want to use Linux!!! Help me!!!
Many thanks in advance - Ed.
