The first sequence of commands I used are: $ mkdir /my-mount-point $ mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /my-mount-point These instructions came from the FreeBSD handbook form the web, and were = not done as root user. The next instructions went like this: # /sbin/mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt This command came from a FreeBSD turotial from the web and was done = under as root. Both of these actions got me the same messages, and = trying to access my cdroms gave similar results.
