Jacob, I've got FreeBSD working on several dl380, and it works great. Here are a couple of things I did while installing. I know I did *NOT* set the FreeBSD partition to bootable, and I did *NOT* choose dangerously dedicated mode. Also I didn't install a boot manager. Here is what a snapshot of one of my fdisk screens looks like: Disk name: idad0 FDISK Partition Editor DISK Geometry: 4353 cyls/255 heads/32 sectors = 35520480 sectors (17343MB) Offset Size(ST) End Name PType Desc Subtype Flags 0 32 31 - 6 unused 0 32 35520448 35520479 idad0s1 3 freebsd 165 C The following commands are supported (in upper or lower case): A = Use Entire Disk G = set Drive Geometry C = Create Slice D = Delete Slice Z = Toggle Size Units S = Set Bootable T = Change Type U = Undo All Changes W = Write Changes Hope that is of some use to you, let me know if any other info would be helpful.
