I have a cvs repository. I was erasing some folders so I
rm files
cvs remove
cvs ci -m "whatever"

All I had remaining is folders with the CVS folder in them.
I issue
cvs update -P

which is supposed to delete the 'empty' folders which it did in my
working copy, but in the actuall cvs repository, the folders are still
alive.

Is this the normal behaviour??
